A couple of weeks ago I went down to LA and spent some time with one of my best friends, Anya, who lives in Santa Monica. She has this beautiful pool which I insisted on going in (no one has pools in San Francisco) so we obviously had to take some pictures.
I am really into the whole highwaisted trend that's been going on for a while now. I think it's so flattering on any shape, and gives that classic sexiness without showing your entire body. I had been eyeing these swim bottoms at American Apparel for a while, so when they went on sale in the middle of winter last year for $7 (I don't think I'll ever be able to get something that cheap from American Apparel ever again) I couldn't resist. While I probably would've rather paired them with an underwire top to complete the retro look, I have not yet been able to find affordable underwire to fit such a flat chest (lol). However, I really like how the triangle top kind of updates this classic, retro look and brings it into the 21st century. What do you guys think? Triangle or underwire with your high waisted swim bottoms?
