In my efforts to decode this mysterious bling obsession, I discovered that I'm just really in love with the latest jewelry trends. I'll probably sport these trends far past their welcome, but sometimes it's just hard to let go (and in this case, that might not be such a bad thing).
1. Nameplate Necklaces
This one is definitely a Claire Marshall-fueled obsession (honestly, what isn't), as she wears her Onecklace nameplate in pretty much every video. I love layering delicate necklaces, and I think that the nameplate adds a nice bit of horizontal dimension and a nice little touch or personality. If you're not into wearing your name around your neck, similar necklaces saying various other words or phrases look just as lovely, and are nice for when you don't feel like wearing a chic name tag. Plus, it's very neutral and simple, so the pairing possibilities are virtually endless.
2. Stacked Rings
Kacey K Fine Jewelry 14 karat gold ring / Jeweliq stacking rings jewelry / Forever 21 spike jewelry / Forever 21 polish jewelry / Jeweliq midi rings jewelry / Tiffany Co gold infinity ring / Wet Seal cut out ring / Zimmermann stackers jewelry / Bijoux Coquette pink gold jewelry, $635 / Pieces thin ring, $12
I know I'm a little late to the game on this one, but I've just recently discovered the beauty that is stacked rings. Especially with a few double-pearl, novelty, or geometric rings thrown in to the mix, this is another one (like my favorite necklace layering) where the possibilities are endless and you can change it up a little every time you wear it.
3. The Timeless Timepiece
This one is a more Instagram-fueled obsession (I really need to stay off the internet) mostly with @meetmeinparee and @fjordtimepieces to blame. Fjord seriously makes the most beautiful watches I've ever seen, plus they came out with their online store like a day ago so any hopes of saving any money have just gone out the window. Anyways, these classic watches are perfect for adding that extra bit of elegance to your look, and (if I had one) they make me feel so chic and Parisian. What other reason would you need to go buy one immediately?
4. The 360 Collar
I'm not a huge statement necklace girl--I usually find them really preppy and gaudy which isn't exactly "my style," plus the few nice ones that I would actually consider wearing are usually insanely expensive. However, once I saw this more understated spin on the statement necklace, I was intrigued. It's definitely still a statement, but in my opinion a more refined and less aggressive one. And also, can we just take a moment to appreciate this Bauble Bar beauty? The little bejeweled eyes are so adorable, and the gold rays add such a fun and elegant edge. Yaag. I'm in love.
5. Dior (Inspired) Double-Sided Studs
I don't usually wear a lot of earrings, maybe a stud every now and then, but recently I've been really into them, as demonstrated by their abundant presence in my favorite jewelry trends. That being said, it took me a while to come around to these guys, mostly because I didn't really know how they worked. However, once I saw this enlightening Refinery 29 slideshow, I was hooked. It's so creative and striking, and gives this amazing layered look that usually can't be achieved with just one earring. Basically I'm in love.
6. Ear Jackets
Unlike the Dior studs, I have been an ear jacket fanatic from the start. They're such an amazing update/hybrid of the classic stud and drop earring, and all of the different variations and mix and match possibilities is so much fun! The other day I was at Forever 21 picking up a last minute gift when I spotted these beauties (the picture really does them no justice...I'll have to post a look or Instagram with them on). For $3.90, there was no way I wasn't getting them. I've basically been wearing them non-stop since then, and am always getting compliments on them. Sometimes, I'll even switch out the stud for a little pearl so I can pretend like I'm not completely lazy, and it looks just as amazing.
7. Ear Cuffs
Last but certainly not least, we have these awesome ear cuffs. I don't consider my style to be particularly edgy, but these ear cuffs are just the perfect edgy statement that's perfect for any style. The different sizes, shapes, and composition results in some variation of edge so we don't look like wannabe rock stars all the time, but they just make me look and feel so fierce and fabulous, like I could just fly away with my little bedazzled (second time using that word in a post...Audrey's getting tired) wings.
So that's it for my favorite jewelry trends, I hope you liked them! In case you were wondering where to stock up your jewelry box with some nice bling, Bauble Bar and Jeweliq have been my jewelry go-to sites as of late. Both of them have pretty reasonable prices (I think Jeweliq is slightly less expensive, but I'm not sure) and an amazing selection. Like literally, I want every single piece from both of their websites. Be sure to check out Jeweliq's ear cuff collection--I don't think you'll find anything like it anywhere else.
Thanks for reading!
