Friday (Sunday) Feature: The Haute Walk

Okay so I have totally been slacking off and I don't want to make the Friday Feature into an every other week thing so I figured better late than never!

This week's feature is The Haute Walk, which you may know from a few posts ago that is my street style blog with my best friend. Now, you may be thinking that this is kind of wrong to be featuring my own blog on my blog. To be honest, I kind of agree, but I don't even have many followers, The Haute Walk has virtually no followers either, plus I'm in a bind so I guess I kind of needed a cop out.

Oh my god. I really am the worst blogger in the world. Here I am lecturing my fellow bloggers about consistency, when I am about the least consistent fashion blogger out there. I also have not made an outfit post in forever. Like legit forever. I'm in a summer intensive, as previously stated so I wear unattractive clothing all day 6 days a week. Agh. My life. Among all of this business however, I still did find time to buy a couple pairs of fabulous and on sale shoes from one of my favorite shoe sites: Shoedazzle.

Good news for all of the 10-14 year old aspiring fashion designers out there! Elle's creative director Joe Zee and his partner Rob Younkers (who is a fashion designer and Adjunct Associate Professor at Parsons the New School for Design in The School of Fashion) will be heading a 2 week fashion day camp in East Hampton in August.

Friday Feature: Beeswonderland

Ever since I first discovered the online fashion world on Lookbook, Borjana of Beeswonderland has been one of my absolute favorite bloggers. I really love her chic style and overall elegance. She never ceases to surprise and leave her readers amazed. Blogs like Beeswonderland are the reason that fashion blogging has become what it is today, and why I initially started this blog. These blogs are so inspiring and beautiful and prove that fashion is not merely pieces of cloth on your body, but wearable art.

Goodbye GFC, Hello Bloglovin'!

If you didn't already know, Google Friend Connect is going to be discontinued as of July 1. If you're like me, and am following A LOT of people on GFC, this may be somewhat devastating. But don't worry! This can all be fixed with just a few clicks.

June Inspirations

So I'm officially the worst blogger of ever. I haven't posted in over a week...yikes! I also missed my Friday Feature...YAAAGGGGGGGGG I'M SO BAD. I don't want to do a Friday Feature on Sunday, so I think I'll just wait until next week. Sorry guys! I swear I'm trying. Pretty Little Liars on Netflix is screwing with my life. It should be illegal.

Anyways...

I've taken a page from some of my favorite fashion bloggers (including last week's feature) and have decided to start doing monthly inspirations. Again, this is part of my experimentation period, so if I don't like this I may not make any more. Here goes!

Friday Feature: Trends Setters

Hey everyone! Sorry I didn't post yesterday. End of year dances and graduation is time consuming. But on the bright side...SUMMER!!

Anywho, as I said here, I'm starting a new blog feature on Fridays. For my first weekly blog feature, I decided to feature one of my absolute favorite bloggers: Isabelle T. of Trends Setters.

Her style is so unique, but is so varied. She's not distinctly edgy or bohemian or hipster minimalist...she wears what she likes and she makes it work, as Tim Gunn always says. She keeps it classy, but her looks are still super fun.

She doesn't only do looks though. She has inspiration posts, runways, posts about new items she has, personal posts, and her thoughts on things going on in the fashion world. In addition, she is so passionate about fashion and blogging that it radiates from her posts. It makes her blog so much fun to read and I just need you to check out her blog.

P.S. She also has some beautiful tattoos :)

As stated in my last post, since my blog is new I'm going to be doing a lot of experimenting, and I just want to thank you in advance for being my little blog guinea pigs :). What I want to try now is posts about what's going on in the world of fashion. Fashion is an ever-changing world, all about staying updated and fresh. I want to be able to keep my readers fresh on current events in the fashion world. I would love to hear feedback on these types of posts and whether or not I should continue to do them!

This look is actually from a little while ago (it's a LOT sunnier and hotter right now) but I never got around to posting these pics. I was actually freezing cold when shooting this, which explains the slightly pained look on my face. My sister was also freezing, which explains the very few photos. Lucy was the only one who looked the slightest bit relaxed. She's so photogenic.

The Summer Wishlist

Summer is finally here! Season of sun, beaches, popsicles, and natural tans. I have a jam packed summer this year (only 2 weeks free?! WHERE DID THE OTHER 8 GO?!?! Oh right, summer intensives) but that's not to say I won't be thoroughly enjoying these 3 months of freedom.
