A California Winter

For starters, I wanted to wish all of you a very happy new year! 2014 was a good year, and I can't wait to see what 2015 has in store for me.

I also wanted to apologize for not posting in over a month. I've been so busy with Nutcrackers and school and holidays, and on top of that I have been having a bit of a hard time finding blogging inspiration. And sorry about the quality of some of these photos; they were taken on Zachary's phone which has a great camera but doesn't do to well cropped as I've recently discovered.

Anyways, this has been one of my favorite winter outfits as it's warm, stylish, and still light--which is perfect for the bay area winter. I can also easily throw an army jacket on for extra warmth, or switch out the button down for a different pattern, color, or long sleeves for some variety and extra coziness if needed. It's also nice since I can always take off the sweatshirt if there's an unexpected spot of sunny weather, which actually happens pretty commonly in a California winter.

I've been pretty in love with these booties for fall and winter. They're really effortless and cute, and they go with pretty much everything, which is always a plus. And they're from Target so extremely affordable. What's not to love?
