It has taken me SUCH a long time to post these! My last week (and a half) has just been totally crazy and packed, and the only reason I can even write this now is I'm sick.

Recently I've been trying to expand my style vocabulary, and I decided to try mixing prints, I'm a newbie at this, so I thought I would play it safe by keeping it monochromatic, but adding a flush of red to the lips for some added dimension. I also paired a smaller, more subtle print with this kind of louder and bigger heart print to try and minimize the craziness. I'm pretty proud of my first mixing prints endeavor, but what do you guys think?

These shoes were a recent find from my local DB Shoes, which is not somewhere I usually go for their amazing shoes. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I found these beauties (and for $16!), so if course I had to buy them and they're quickly becoming my go to shoe. I've gotten so many compliments on them, and the chic black makes these subtle statements so versatile.

Thanks for reading! Don't forget to follow me on my new(ish) Instagram! And about that theme I've been talking about the last few posts, it should be up within the next few days! (cue excitement)

  6. What a fab, fab outfit! I haven't mixed prints yet because I don't know if I'll be able to pull them off. You pull them off so well. Your cutout oxfords are soooo perfect! Love it!
