Friday Feature: you are the poet

How long have you been blogging?
aurora
I have this blog for almost two years, but I had other blogs before it. I had my first blog in 2011, I think.
What got you started in fashion blogging?
I wanted to have a place where I can share my photos and stories. A blog seemed like the best idea for something like that.
Is there someone who helps you with your blogging (friend, photographer, co-blogger, etc.) or do you do it on your own?
Usually, my sister takes my outfit photos. When she’s not around, my friends help me with the photos or I use the self-timer. All other photos were taken by me, and I’m also the only blogger.

Best Dressed at the Grammy's 2014

For the past 56 years, the Grammy's was the event where the music industry got to show their amazing fashion and beyond beautiful gowns. It was at the Grammy's that the world realized that the best musicians can rival the best actors and actresses of Hollywood, stunning in couture gowns from Giorgio Armani to Elie Saab to Naeem Kahn.

However, this year was an exception.

There was an outstanding number of ghastly or just plain underwhelming dresses, leaving the best dressed list surprisingly barren. Of course, there were still the stunners as I mentioned before, but they were just a bit harder to find.

And now, in no particular order, the best dressed of the 56th annual Grammy Awards!

Peter Pilotto for Target

In case you haven't heard, Peter Pilotto is doing an amazing collection for Target that will be available in stores Feb. 9th. From what I've seen so far, I'm completely in love with this collection! The prints are beautiful, and I love the pieces he puts them on. It truly feels like designer clothes for a Target price. To make this even better, this collection seems to be even less expensive than the 3.1 Phillip Lim one, with most items coming in at under $60.

Friday Feature: Odds and Sodz

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>oddsandsodz.blogspot.com<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
How long have you been blogging?
I'm a newbie! I recently started my blog back in november so its only been going for about nearly 3 months.
Its been great so far though. I've met some lovely bloggers and I'm nearing the 3000 reader mark which is crazy!

What got you started in fashion blogging?
I've always liked to write and whats better than writing about things you love!? I made my blog as a little hobbie to take my mind off my anxiety. Its a nice place to go when my brain goes into overload and it de-stresses me.
Is there someone who helps you with your blogging (friend, photographer, co-blogger, etc.) or do you do it on your own?
So far I've done my blog entirely by myself. I have recently just bought a nifty little bridge camera though so i can have better quality photos so my lovely mister Danny will be helping with that. I also have just featured 7 guest bloggers during the christmas period while I was super busy with work so they were a massive help!

January Inspirations

First of all, these inspirations are coming WAY later in the month due to my little blogging hiatus, and they don't really have much of a color/season theme as I usually have. This month however, all of these pictures are from a few of my favorite street style blogs. I absolutely adore street style, and I actually think that I'll be starting an SF street style blog soon. In the mean time, I spend hours and hours pouring over these sites and more, marveling at the beauty and style hidden right under our noses. So behold: some of my favorite street style looks of 2014.

I'm Back!

Hi everyone, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you all had a great holiday season.

I'm back to blogging, and (hopefully) better than ever. I kind of took a winter break because of Nutcracker, school, family, and such. I'm also a firm believer that everything's a little better and more focused after a break.

I am definitely continuing the Friday Feature, so if you're interested email me the answers to the blog feature questionnaire (which you can find in any of my previous features) along with a list of social media links you would like me to include in the feature. Even if you don't want to be featured, I always check out everyone who follows me and follow back all of my followers, and I'd love to see your blog!

Thanks and I hope to see your blogs soon!
