We've just had our first rainy days in the Bay Area, and I have to say I am loving it! Everything looks so much more beautiful in the rain, plus I've just loved the rain ever since I was little.
Although I wish it could rain 365 days a year, this weather does present some fashion challenges. Raincoats, rainboots, and umbrellas aren't exactly the most fashionable pieces in your wardrobe, but they're vital this time of year. Not to worry though, I've searched the internet for the cutest, trendiest, and most chic raingear you could ever hope for.
Hunter boots, in general, are the way to go for rainy day footwear. They come in amazing colors and styles, from a classic black rainboot to a glossy red striped bootie, plus they recently came out with a collection in partnership with rag & bone, which you should definitely check out. They're definitely a little pricey, but it's worth the splurge.
Since transparent and metallic styles are really hot right now, why not incorporate these fun trends into your rainy day wear? With transparent rainboots, not only will you turn heads, but you can get creative with socks (or even go barefoot if you're really daring). The metallic finish goes with much more than you think it will (as I found out in my post
How to Style Sweaters) so no worries about not ever getting to wear these beautiful boots. With both styles, you can't lose!
The plaid lined rain jacket is one of your best raincoat options. Between the tres trendy tartans and the versatile silhouette and colors, this style is definitely a must for your winter wardrobe. Again, these can ring in a little pricey, but (again) it's worth it. Not only are these parkas super cute, but they rock at keeping you warm and dry as well.
I personally believe that trench coats will never go out of style.
The transparent bubble umbrella is one of my absolute favorite umbrella styles of all time. The bubble shape provides complete wind and rain protection, plus the transparent material not only allows you unobstructed vision but goes with all of your outfits!
We all love designer clothes. The great design, top of the line quality, and the chic designer name to put the cherry on top. Designer umbrellas are yet another way to experience this designer thrill, but with not so large a price tag.
